Obituary of Jason Bradley Gear

Jason Bradley Gear of Miramichi, NB passed away at the Miramichi Hospital on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the age of 40. Born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL he is the son of Wilson Gear (Belinda Curran) and mother, Madonna Gear. As a child Jason was fun loving and kind, he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was an awesome hockey player and loved life. He chose the wrong path and drugs took his life. In addition to his parents, Wilson and Madonna Gear he is survived by two young sons, Rocco, 15 and Lukkas age 5; older brother, Donnie all of Lower Coverdale, NB; paternal grandparents, Wilson and Jane Gear and the mother of his children, Allison Marshall and her parents, Rick and Margo Marshall, also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins along with his two favorite aunts, Leona and Sheila. Jason was predeceased by his brother, Bradley; maternal grandparents, John and Nora Tobin; his uncle, Albert Tobin and uncle, Bryce Gear. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857-9544 where visitaion will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Funeral Mass and Interment will be in NL at a later date.
