Obituary of Frances R. Fawcett

Frances R. Fawcett (nee Colpitts) of Sackville and formerly of Riverview, NB passed away at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the age of 96 years. Born in Hartland, NB she was a daughter of the late Hartley and Mary (Thurrott) Colpitts.

Frances retired from Eastland Industries and was a former employee with NB Tel in Sackville for 15 years. She was a strong member of the United Church and UCW. A member of the Parklanes seniors bowling group, a former member of the Bridgedale Seniors an avid crib player and she was also known for her cross stitching. A long-time volunteer of the Albert County Food Bank.

Survived by her daughter, Janet Tingley of Sackville, NB; son, Brian Tingley (Irene) of Sackville, NB; two grandchildren, Virginia Tingley and Alexander Tingley (Stephanie); step- granddaughter, Lynnsy Chapman; great- grandchildren, William Tingley, Aedan Harborne and Derrick Harborne; sister, Linda Losier of Saint John, NB; brother, Banford Colpitts (Colleen) of Kanata, ON; special sister-in-law, Bette Colpitts of Brantford, ON as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry G. Fawcett; two infant sons; brothers, Richard Colpitts, William Colpitts and sisters, Enid Garton and Christine Roberts.

In honor of Frances there will not be any services held at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 1:00pm in the Sackville Rural Cemetery, Sackville, NB.

Donations in memory of Frances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
