Obituary of Jason Scott

Jason Scott of Harcourt, passed away at the Albert House Hospice, Moncton after a lengthy and courageous battle with Cancer.

Jason graduated from Bonar Law Memorial School in 1992 and worked most of his working-years in warehouse as a fork-lift operator. Community was important to Jason; he gave back through many years service as a proud Volunteer firefighter with the Harcourt Fire Department. Jason was often the first guy at the firehall whether there was an emergency call or to help out with events, if the lights were on or the bay doors were up guaranteed Jason was there. Jason had many hobbies; from dirt bikes to gaming consoles he always had the latest version.

Jason enjoyed playing pool at The Moncton Dart Club, and Dooly’s where he made many friends who became family to him. Anyone who knew Jason knew he loved to talk and tell stories; the family heard many pool shark stories in his last days. Jason may not have had his health from a very young age but he lived a good life and had many friends and family and who loved him.

Jason was predeceased by his parents Robert and Jeanette Scott. He is survived by Debbie and Glenn Agnew of Harcourt, Darlene Scott with whom he resided and cared for Jason until he was no longer able to be at home, Bev Stewart and Logan of Ford Bank, Sherry Eagles and LP of Moncton, Lloyd and Anya Beers of Targetville, Tracy and Tim Barter of Upper Coverdale, Trina and Doug Perkins of Havelock, Kyla Beers-Trites of Gallagher Ridge, also by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

The family wish to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and to the entire staff at the Albert House Hospice for the wonderful care that Jason received. Your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
